Cindy enjoys both the process of considering creativity and the act of (hopefully) producing creative results. Rarely satisfied with doing the same thing today as yesterday, she is often tackling a new stitch, designing a new pattern or experiencing a new medium.

Most days Cindy prefers multi-media collage and knitting, some days it’s jewelry making, writing, origami, crochet, stick weaving, sewing, or day dreaming.

Course Description:

Learn traditional and adaptations of Portuguese style knitting using yarn produced in Portugal from local flocks! We will use a long fiber wool that is traditionally used for warm shepherds’ blankets. More than just learning the style of holding and manipulating the yarn, we’ll apply a finish that produces a fuzzy surface.

Materials fee includes a typical knitting guide pin, and two skeins of yarn. Additional yarn will be available for purchase.

Course Cost:

$35 class fee + $20 materials fee
